An 80th Birthday Cake.

Today I wanted to share with you this, very simple 80th Birthday cake I made for a customer's mother.  In fact this is the fourth cake I made for them this year. It's so nice when customers come back to you over and aver again. Makes you appreciate your work more...Isn't it?

 This is a simple cake but means so much to the family, the daughter spent an hour finding the right design for her mom. She didn't want something fancy with decorations that didn't mean anything.



The mother use to teach dance to little girls, loves the color pink, loves flowers and her favorite dress use to be a white dress and pink bold stripes. So the daughter wanted to bring that out on the cake. I believe that dress has some fond memories attached to it. Every time the kids  remember their childhood they picture her in that dress. I thought it was so sweet. So finally this is what we came up with..



This is my 'signature Vanilla Cream cake' with Strawberry Buttercream and homemade fondant.
